Just Pray

My words don’t know the difference between edification and truth
So wisdom navigates the delicate nuances between the two
I press my lips tightly together when I know my mind hasn’t quite made it
To the place in which my mouth can speak, not words that kill, but words of exhortation.
Because sin doesn’t end with the multiplication of words
So let your conversation be full of grace, so that you may answer the herds
Of people that will seek you, trying to reach the peak YOU
Govern this mountain!
They wish to devour you and sift you like wheat YOU
Stand sharp like the sword you were created in heat.
From her mouth she speaks wisdom and when she’s silent she is wise
Sometimes the best response is to bow your head and close your eyes.
